Clé de Peau Beauté approached Chris Wood Light with the exciting challenge of designing and fabricating an artwork to reflect their 40 year anniversary and celebrate the infinite radiance project launching in 2022. The artwork needs to consider the expression of light and radiance as a source of nature, as science, as a feeling and as a way of life.

‘This design works on many levels. The artwork finds its direction in the number 40. There are 40 spirals, each with 40 dichroic elements to them. Embedded within each spiral is the number 40, written in binary code. The dichroic pieces will project 40mm from the surface of the artwork, the outermost circle measures 1600mm in diameter - the square root of which is 40.’ - Chris Wood
