Luce Colorata

Commissioned by Sackville House, Health Centre and Library to create an artwork for the central atrium space.

We identified the beautiful open skylight as a potential location for the installation.

This lead to the creation of a suspended work to hang in the skylight. Luce Colorata references the visual impact of a chandelier, designed to respond to the sun. The structural form, inspired by elliptical architectural elements within the space, elegantly occupies the roof light. The design incorporates an innovative mirror lining feature to expand the dialogue between the artwork and the sun, dissolving the surrounding walls.
