Chris Wood
Founding Director, Artist
Founder Chris Wood has over 24 years experience in creating light artworks in the UK and overseas. Chris’s love for light is infectious, her deep understanding of the phenomenon has been the subject of many interviews in various publications and art/ design blogs such as My Modern Met . Chris is just as passionate about her work now (perhaps even more so!) as she was when she first started.
Chris oversees all operations at CWL, from assessing the suitability of a location through to designing large scale architectural installations. Chris can usually be found developing her artworks using computer aided design programmes, or playing with materials and light in the workshop. Chris is a great believer in the power of teamwork and works alongside the team to understand a clients wishes and skilfully interpret these into timeless artworks.
Daisy Russel
Project Manager, PA
Daisy joined CWL in 2020 as personal assistant to Chris Wood and has since progressed to the role of project manager. Prior to joining the team Daisy graduated from university with a first class degree in English Literature and worked for a variety of community engagement enterprises. Daisy oversees communication between the design studio and production team, working to establish timelines and keep us organised! Whether you are purchasing a wall panel or enquiring about a large scale architectural commission Daisy will be your main point of contact, working with you to see your project through to completion.
Lilli Mathod
Artistic Director, Head of Communication
After graduating with a first class hons degree in Fine Art, Lilli went on to complete her Masters in Art Direction at UAL. Since 2020 Lilli has been working on the brands visual identity, Overseeing all visual communication for the internationally renowned art and design studio it’s known as today. Lilli has taken an active role in the direction the small company is leading and aims to continue this development through refining the companies vision and enhancing the evolving team of creatives that make up the CWL family.
Rachel Spore
Production Manager
Rachel works in the studio as our production manager. As a high achieving graduate of design from UAL, alongside her innate creativity and eye for pattern and form, Rachel has become a fantastic addition to our team. Rachel works closely with Chris, liaising with her on design decisions and supporting Chris’s ambitious plans! In addition to being the brains behind the fabrication of our wall panels, Rachel keeps our busy studio organised and running smoothly, ensuring that all artworks meet the very high standards we set for ourselves when they are dispatched to their new owners.
Joesph Kim
Design Consultant
Joseph is an architectural designer who has assisted Chris on a variety of design projects for over 5 years. With his technical knowledge and professional experience, he has been helping the team with everything from design concept, 3D modeling, and technical renderings of the projects.
